Concord Quest came to and end. It turned out great. I took Hadeleigh took the performances. She loved it. She named pheobe FeFe and she says she is dating Keegan. He waved to her and she about died. The dragon was a big hit. Anyways about 130 came to know Christ. AMAZING! Well I have been blessed greatly by the Bacon family. I have hung out with them a ton. Just yesturday we went swiming Haeleigh is 2 almost 3 and so she is learning how to swim. She is too confident in herself sometimes. She thinks she can just get in the deep end with no one else around her. I went out and bought her a ring. SHe loves it she just swims around in it. We came home from swiming yesturday and went straight into watching Finding Nemo. I love that movie. We were able to teach Hadeleigh about obeying your parents through that movie. Well long story short we ended our nigtht with Bruster’s ice cream. I had never had that before and it was great. Thanks Bacon family for introducing that to me. Oh anyone interested Bath and Body works has some amazing sales going on. One being these things called Walflowers they smell amazing. Get the grapefruit it smells like some kind of candy. It’s great and right now it’s only $5. Well I am working hard and will be all week. Thursday we are going to a baseball game with 3rd thru 5th graders. It should be fun. Oh be in prayer for my friend Luke Arehnholtz he has been given a great opportunity to minister in Poland but is needing to raise $1500 and for someone who is a full time missionary and has a family that is quite alot of money. Concord Quest coming to an end! June 12, 2008
Okay so the big day is tomorrow. It is Concord Quest’s salvation Thursday. We have already had 47 students come to know the Lord but tomorrow is the big day. We have had alot of fun working with these kids. We have had over 2,000. We are really excited to see it end though. Tomorrow I will be going out with Amber who has become my greatest friend during my time here. Anyways, I am going out with her and her 3 year old daughter tomorrow for lunch. She is amazing. Work is tough. I come home and nap ever single day. I never want to get up in the mornings. I would love to hear from some fo you all. Wow time is approaching! June 7, 2008
Okay so VBS or Concord Quest is approaching fast it starts tomorrow. The classrooms look great. I took alot of pictures. I will post them soon. I worked hard yeaturday and then baby sat till midnight. Today I went in early help make chains for the drawbridge and did a few other things with this little girl named Lidia. She is going into the 2nd grade and is adorable. Then Corey took me to downtown Knoxville for the water Angels ministry. It is a great thing they have going on there. I worked with kids that are not poor but are homeless. They have nothing. We fed them played games talked worshiped gave them a lesson did a craft and gave them tthings. It was awesome. Corey spoke on patience. It was over all a fun day. People look at children’s and youth ministry as easy and that they don’t have to work they just have to be able to communicate with them. It is sooo not that. There is sooo much hard work that goes into these things. Well I would love prayer for VBS we have like 2000 kids enrolled right now and much more to go. We want to see several come to know the Lord. Also be in prayer that the water Angels would get enough money for an airconditioner. Life in Knoxville! June 6, 2008
Hello! Wow during my time here it has been a go go go prossess. No time to sit back and relax. I started work on Tuesday. It was a day of staff meetings and physical labor. Wed. was a day of running errands. I was busy spending time at the bank and having drug tests done. I was also making costumes and driving all over tarnation. Today was a day of computer work and organizing. We have alot of tasks that have to get done and very little time or coporation to get them done. It’s tuff but I feel that this is well worht it. We are getting ready to step into our Concord Quest also known as VBS. We call it a different name because this is not your ma and pop VBS. This is full out. It is crazy times. I have to go in and help serve lunch to the workers tomorrow. All 400 of them. Then i do the same Saturday but this time it is breakfast. And them Sunday it begins.
